The Shuswap, to me, is family. Many of these images were captured during water adventures with my husband and son. Paddling, fishing, swimming, and searching for the next perfect view. The lake is where we connect, unwind, and witness water’s endless transformations, from the wild waves of summer to the frozen calm of winter.

For thousands of years, these waters have sustained life. The Secwépemc (Shuswap) people thrived here, with salmon and the waterways at the heart of their culture. Later, settlers built communities along the lake’s edge, drawn by the same abundance and beauty that continues to inspire us today.

This collection is my tribute to the Shuswap, to its waters, its history, its community and the way it continues to shape who we are. Welcome home!
