7 month old baby in a jolly jumper beside a creek

Sunday Adventures With My Family

What drives my inspiration? Well, most of the time, it’s ME, behind the wheel, headed down some random gravel road. With my DJ husband as my co-pilot and our 1-year-old son Maddox in the backseat, singing along with ACDC blasting from the stereo we wit the road. Together, we embark on our weekend drives, eager to discover new spots, explore, and for me, to dive into the next waterway we find and start creating my art.

This past fall, the weather was simply stunning. It felt like a lingering taste of summer well into October. The creek waters were invitingly warm, so much so that sometimes I sat right in the midst of the creek while snapping pictures. Meanwhile, my husband, laid back, lounging in his camping chair on the sidelines, keeping an eye on our little one, who was about 7 months old at the time. Maddox, full of joy, would bounce in his jolly jumper by the creek’s edge, his laughter echoing through the air. Witnessing their happiness brought me an immense sense of joy as I captured the beauty of the creek through my lens. I thought, I could get used to this.
